Federal Ministry of Youth And Sports Launches DEEL

 The Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced the launch of DEEL. An initiative that will give the Nigerian Youth added advantage and a competitive edge in the global workforce

This was made known via the Twitter handle of the ministry.

Commenting on the development the minister of Youth and Sports Sunday Dare said the government will first train between 500,000 – 1,000,000 youths in the next two years through its DYWF project – Digital Youth Nigeria.

Sunday Dare further said the ministry had already started the WEP – Work Experience Program fully. A program that will allow the youths to gain first-hand experience working in the ministries and organizations department.

What Is DEEL

DEEL stands for Digital Skill Acquisition, Employability, Entrepreneurship, And Leadership. it is an initiative of the federal government of Nigeria that is aimed at equipping the Nigerian youth with skills needed to compete in the global workforce. 

Courses Available On DEEL

Some of the courses available on the DEEL program include:

  • Digital literacy and Digital Skills Acquisition.
  • Robotics and Artificial Intelligence training
  • Mobile device Repair training
  • 60 days App challenge and an upcoming program on coding for Nigerian youths.
